Hells Canyon - Winter Hikes in Armenia

Hells Canyon or Aratso Canyon, Hovazadzor, is located near the border of Nakhichevan, in the south-east of Ararat Province, Armenia. There is the river Aratso. The canyon is considered one of the most beautiful in Armenia, but difficult to cross, and there are many obstacles, in some places the rocks are connected and we must continue the path through the river, there is a real extreme. The place is also convenient for rock climbing.

• List of required things: backpack, mountain climbing boots, hiking poles, hiking gaiters, warm mountain uniform, jacket, hat (summer, winter), gloves, sunscreen cream, lamp, raincoat, sunglasses, one-day food and water

• This tour is of medium difficulty and doesn't require any special physical preparation (In case of health problems, let us know in advance)

• In case of individual requests the timing, tour program and the cost may be revised according to your preferences

• Individual tours start and finish in Yerevan, from any address convenient to you

• It is not recommended for persons under 10 years to take part in the tour
