Urts Mountains a Mountain range of south of the Ararat region of the Republic of Armenia. Surface is the Ararat Valley from the south. It is a pallet of origin. The Vedi Shaghaph tributary is watery, Aratso and Araks. It stretches from the north-east to the south-east, and then to the east. Length is about 25 km, width is up to 11 km. The northern slopes are long, midsize, the southern ones are short, steep. All the slopes are cut into gorges. The main belt is narrower. The highest peak in the eastern part of the Mount Urts 2445 m.
