UNESCO's main objective is to contribute to the strengthening of peace and security through the cooperation of nations in the fields of education, science and culture. Over the years, the field of activity has expanded significantly, including sports, information and communication, freedom of speech, the fight against discrimination in the field of education, and the biosphere. Recently, works are also being carried out in the direction of the ethics of artificial intelligence, in particular, the development of rules. Programs implemented by UNESCO contribute to the realization of sustainable development goals. Armenia joined in 1992. on June 9.
