Culture, nature and beach vacation together

It's time to discover paradise and tropical Sri Lanka. Different vegetation, warm water of the Indian Ocean, cultural monuments will be companions throughout the journey. We will get to know the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo, the city of Kandy in the heart of the island, we will see the elephant nursery, we will visit the famous tourist cities of Sigiriya, Bentota, Mirissa and other cities, botanical gardens, temples, etc.

Day 1

Arrival in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Visit to Pinwala Elephant Sanctuary, Sigiriya City

Any journey begins with departure. The plane lands in the main cultural center of Sri Lanka, the city of Colombo. After which we will head to the city of Sigiriya in the heart of the island. On the way, we will visit the Pinwala elephant shelter, which is also a breeding ground for Asian elephants. To visit Sri Lanka and not see this elephant nursery is a crime. And in the evening we will enjoy local songs and dances at the hotel, get to know the culture, enjoy the hotel with beautiful views in the heart of the forest and prepare for the early morning tour.

Day 2

Tour in Sigiriya. Kandy city

After breakfast we prepare for the day of adventure. On this day, we will visit Sigiriya, one of the symbols of the island of Sri Lanka, we will get to know the local monuments, we will walk in the surrounding nature. Sigiriya is a world heritage site under the protection of UNESCO. At the end of the 5th century, King Kassapa built an inaccessible fortress and palace on the rock, surrounded by a moat full of water. This is the most visited historical place in Sri Lanka. After enjoying the beauty of Sigiriya, we will move to the city of Kandy. On the way, we will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the national clothes of Sri Lanka, why not also try the national costumes. Our next stop will be the Dambulla Cave Temple. It is one of the best preserved cave temple complexes, is considered the national heritage of Sri Lanka and is one of the important centers of Buddhist culture. We will also see one of the great golden Buddha temples.

Day 3

A day full of culture and nature. Nuwara Eliya. Rambota waterfall

We start the adventure with a trip to Kandy National Park, where we will see and get to know different types of plants, trees and flowers. Then we head to the city of Nuwara Eliya (translated as "city of light"), which is considered a tourist center. It is located at an altitude of 1,884 m above sea level at the foot of Mount Piduruthalagala, the highest peak in Sri Lanka. On the way, we will see the largest Buddha statue in Sri Lanka, the golden roofed Buddhist temple, where we will see the legendary tooth relic of the Buddha, encased in several golden boxes encrusted with jewels. During the day, we will also visit the Glenloch tea factory, get acquainted with the complete stages of tea preparation, packaging, participate in the process of tea collection and enjoy the distinctive taste of tea. After enjoying tea, we will move to Rambota Falls, which is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.

Day 4

The distinctive beauty of the town of Ella, Little Adams Peak and the unique cave

After breakfast in a British-style royal hotel, we go to Gregory Park in the heart of Ella city, sail on the lake, enjoy the city views. By the end of today, you'll think for a moment that you've been to Great Britain. We will also visit to see another of the next symbols of Sri Lanka, the bridge with nine arches, which is located between the cities of Demodara and Ella. The bridge will not undergo any renovation after its construction, so it has been preserved in its antiquity and magnificent appearance. To enjoy the mountain splendor of the town of Ella, we will organize a small hike and climb to the top of Little Adams Peak.

Day 5

Visit to Mirissa, beach holiday

Have you been waiting a long time for the beach day? Well, congratulations, you are not on the shore of the sea, but of the ocean. But wait a minute, let's visit one of the distinctive caves early this morning, whose beauty, distinctive structure and power, we promise, you will remember for the rest of your life. After the discovery of the cave, we move to our luxury hotel in Mirissa and enjoy beach relaxation, waves of the Indian Ocean and these heavenly views that will accompany you for the rest of your life.

Day 6

Visit to the city of golden beaches - Bentota. Galle Fort and Galle Lighthouse

After waking up to the sound of the sea waves, we take a trip to Bentota, another of Sri Lanka's famous beach towns. On the way, we will visit the Galle Fort, where the National Maritime Museum, the Dutch Church, the Galle Lighthouse and the Meera Mosque are also located. Have you ever seen fishermen leaning on a stick in the ocean, waiting for their catch in the same position for hours with a fish hook in hand? This method of fishing is very popular in the coastal towns of Sri Lanka, as a result of which it is considered one of the next symbols of the island. Today we will see and learn about this method of fishing. Today we will also have the opportunity to sail along 64 islands, get acquainted with the everyday life of the islands. And then, Bentota Hotel, Bentota town, which is also famous for its water sports, will welcome us, giving us another chance to enjoy the ocean waves.

Day 7

It's time to explore the capital, Colombo. Beira Lake, Colombo National Museum, Square, etc

After waking up in the morning, we are going to explore Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. We are ready to explore the city of Colombo, first we will walk around the Colombo Fort, walk from the Colombo Fort to Beira Lake and visit the famous lover's island and the beautiful suspension bridge. We will admire the architectural wonder that will leave you breathless with its unusual color patterns. We will walk around South Asia's tallest tower, The Lotus Tower, explore restaurants, architecture and have time to shop before heading to the World Trade Center and Parliament Buildings. We will see the Colombo temple which is a blend of modern architecture and cultural essence. Later, we will visit the National Museum of Colombo, which presents the entire history of Sri Lanka, and we will also visit the Independence Square. After exploring the city of Colombo, we will return to the hotel, have dinner and prepare for the next day's flight.

Day 8

It is time to return to the homeland. Return to Armenia

After breakfast in the morning, we will go to Colombo International Airport. We will return to our homeland from the island of Sri Lanka full of happy and unforgettable memories.
