
Sharayi Mount or saint Hovhannes mount is located in the Shirak region of Armenia, between the Aragats and Pambak mountain ranges. The height is 2475 m, the circumference of the base is about 5 km. It consists of anthropogenic lavas, slags, wetland sediments. The landscape is mountainous and steppe and has a sand mine. The name, according to legend, is associated with the name of Sharayi, the nominal ruler of Shirak.
