Mount Sabalan
At the top of Mount Sabalan is a volcanic crater lake. This lake is known for its unique beauty and natural formation. The lake was formed due to snowmelt and precipitation. It does not connect to any river and has no flow. The lake is small, about 40-50 meters in diameter, but its depth has not been accurately measured. There are many hot springs around the mountain, which are known for their healing properties. The most famous springs are the Sarein hot springs. The local thermal springs are rich in minerals and have healing properties, especially for rheumatic, skin and muscle diseases. The foot of the mountain is rich in biodiversity. Rare plants can be found here, and wild goats and eagles live in the higher areas.
