Lake Tsovak Hyusiso (Lake Childir) North of the Armenian Highland, in the Ardahan region, has a lava-blocking origin. Mirror area 85 sq, m. It is at a height of 1959 m above sea level, with a depth of 42 m. It is in tectonic concavity and was formerly a deep valley closed by lava dams. The length is about 20 km north to south, and 16 km north. The Water is fresh, and the river Childir flows from the lake (also called Metsajur) red trout lives in the lake and in the river and freezes in winter.
