Lake Akna is located in Armenia, on the border of Kotayk and Gegharkunik regions, on the slopes of the Geghama Mountains, 10 km to the west of Tsaghkashen village. Above sea level is 3030 m, the surface of the lake is 0.5 km². Feeds with snow and spring water. It is surrounded by young volcanic rocks and alpine meadows. His water is clear, fresh. The surface is 0, 53 km², the maximum depth is 15 m, the water depth is 3,92 M³. The lake mirror reflects the surrounding mountains and blue sky.

Registered in the State Nature Reserve of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia. The list of State Natural Monuments included in the list of “Natural Monuments of the Republic of Armenia” adopted on August 14, 2008 in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
