Khuchap Monastery (XIII century) is located near the village of Privolnoye, Lori Region, Armenia, on the northern slope of Lalvar Mountain. In the 9-10th centuries, the oldest church of the complex was built, which is a one-nave basilica structure and in the first years of its establishment, it functioned as an Armenian monastery, and during the rule of the 13th century Zakarians, it was transformed into a Chalcedonian monastery. The monastery is built of hewn felsite tuff stone. It is a domed structure with a pair of gables. The gables are made of solid stone, octagonal. The apse with a deep front stage has three windows with triangular niches opening on the eastern front. There are three entrances from the west, north and south. Each session of the elevated drum, decorated with 12-story arches of the dome, has a narrow and high window. The vestibule is adjacent to the entire length of the western facade of the church. The monument has a rich decoration.
