Mount Karmir Katar - Red Ridge is called Karmir Mountain by the locals, it is located in Kotayk region of Armenia, in the northern part of Geghama mountain range at an altitude of 3530 m. By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of August 14, 2008, the Red Mountains were included in the list of natural monuments. Located in the central part of Gegharkunik region, Geghama mountain range, south-west of Azhdahak volcano, it is a 3530 m high slag cone, and at the top there is a 300 m diameter crater, where there is a crater lake.
