Climbing Sipan & Nemrut 2023 | Western Armenia

16-08-2023 (4 days) Together with Hatis Tour we will leave for Western Armenia. We will visit the sights of historical Armenia, we will climb Sipan and Nemrut mountains. Read more below

Day 1

Yerevan - Ani - Bayazet

Early in the morning, at 04-00, the group will move from Yerevan to the Armenian-Georgian border, Bavra checkpoint, and then cross the Georgian-Turkish border through Akhalkalaki checkpoint. The first stop will be on the shore of Lake Tsovak North (Childer), the next - in the city of a thousand and one churches in Ani. The group will arrive in Bayazet in the evening. Dinner, overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Bayazet - Berkri Waterfall - Van - Climbing Nemrut

After breakfast we will go to Van. We will have a stop in Berkri Waterfall and the city of Van, then we will continue our way to the foot of Nemrut. Our ascent will start from 2400 meters. From the top (2935 m) there is a beautiful view of Lake Van and the Van region. After landing, we are waiting for the crater of the volcano, swimming in the lake, after which we will rest on the shores of Lake Van. In the evening we will drive to Artsk. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Climbing Sipan Mount - Bayazet

Early in the morning after breakfast we will go to the foot of Mount Sipan (2400 m), from where we will start our ascent to the top (4058 m), relative altitude - 1650 m. From the top there is a wonderful view of Lake Van and the longest Taurus mountain range in historical Armenia. After landing we will go to Bayazet. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Bayazet - Kars - Yerevan

After breakfast we will go to Yerevan. On the way we will visit Kars Fortress and Arakelots Monastery, walk around the city, see the Vardan Bridge and the Ruins of Charents House.

Participants must have: backpack, hat (summer, winter), warm uniform, jacket, flashlight, comfortable shoes, raincoat, sunglasses
