Hermon Monastery or Ahermon Monastery, an Armenian architectural monument in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, on the slopes of the Yeghegis River. It was a prominent religious and cultural center. It was founded in 936 by Prince Smbat of Syunyats and Bishop Hakob. In 1338, Reverend Tiratur Kilikets, disciple of Yesai Nchetsu, settled here and laid the foundation of a new school (Hermon monastery school). The current St. Grigor Church is a three-nave basilica with one pair of gables (XVII century) built with hewn basalt. The cover and a part of the southern wall were destroyed. Traces of buildings of the former complex have been preserved in the walled area of the monastery with a rectangular layout.
