Everest Base Camp Trek 2025

Our plane will land in Kathmandu. Welcome to the traveler's paradise, Nepal. Kathmandu is the economic and cultural center of the country. It is located in the intermountain valley in the Himalayas, at an altitude of 1,360 meters. Upon arrival at the hotel, we will check in, check the equipment needed for climbing, and then have a discussion and briefing about the coming days. Well, the most beautiful and impressive views are yet to come.

Early in the morning we are preparing for a wonderful flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. During a domestic flight lasting about 35 minutes, we won't be bored, as the views from the window will delight us every second. We came to Nepal to explore nature and hike the mountain trails. The length of today's pedestrian crossing from Lukla to Phakding (2,900 meters) is about 9 km. We will drive through the mountain villages of Nepal, suspension bridges, forests and, of course, mountain lovers will be in the minority in front of us.

After breakfast, we will head to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters), which is considered one of the local shopping malls. For the first time in a day, we will see a magnificent view of Mount Everest, the surrounding mountains and peaks. We will also take a walk along the Swiss suspension bridge (over the Dudh Koshi River). This is one of the main attractions. During the hike, we will also enter the Sagarmata National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).:

We think that waking up with a beautiful view of the highest peaks of the Himalayas and enjoying a delicious breakfast is a dream of many. We will spend a day in Namche Bazaar, get acquainted with the culture and hospitality of Nepal. Those interested can also visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum (near Namche Bazaar), where we will get acquainted with the history, geographical and cultural aspects of the Himalayas, to the diverse flora and fauna of the history of mountaineering and the region.

Tengboche is a small Alpine valley located at an altitude of 3,860 meters. The road, as on other days, will be full of mountain views and beautiful trails. We will also see the Danphe Pheasant, considered the national bird of Nepal. We will walk to Tengboche Village, which is our last station to date. The village is home to the largest local Buddhist temple. We will also visit the temple.

On this day, we are already heading to Dingboche, located at an altitude of 4410 meters. This village is considered the main resting place for those climbing Mount Everest and its base camp. And from the village we will see Mount Ama Dablam from a different angle.

With small steps and a few meters, we approach the gates of Mount Everest, the base camp. Today we will head to the village of Lobuche, climb to about 500 relative heights. We will reach the village of Lobuche by zigzag roads, through the Thukla Pass. The road passes through the Khumbu Glacier. We will also visit the memorial to the mountaineers who died on Mount Everest.

Today is the day of the most exciting trip, the base camp on Mount Everest (5350 meters). After breakfast, we will head to Gorak Shep, the last village on the way to Mount Everest (located at an altitude of 5,150 meters). After 6 hours of walking, we are already at the base camp, where, after having a good time, enjoying, mentally climbing Mount Everest, we will go to Gorak Shep.

Kala Patthar Mountain is located not far from Gorak Shep. Today we will climb the Kala Patthar mountain (5644 m), hiking only 3-4 hours. And which scenes we will enjoy while watching, we leave to your imagination. After climbing, we will head to the village of Pangboche (3985 meters).

The two main goals have been achieved. After climbing Mount Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, it is time for us to return to the already familiar Namche Bazaar.

It's time to return to the capital by the same route. So today we will head to Lukla, where we will have free time to explore the city and do some shopping.

Early in the morning we will rush to the airport to take a domestic flight to Kathmandu (flights are mostly early in the morning). No one will mind having a few more hours of free time in the capital, after all, today is our last day in Nepal.

The best memories of life are already secured. All we have to do is arrive home after a 10-12 hour flight, share our impressions with friends, and relive the journey.

During such trips, a spare day is very important, because the weather conditions may not always be favorable, so you should always have an extra day and thus guarantee the probability of reaching the destination.
