Dzoraget river is one of the big tributaries of Debed river. The length is 67 km. It starts from the slopes of Javakhk mountain range. It is a mountainous river type. In the upper stream, in the Lori plain, it has a plain character, it is slow-flowing, low-lying, sometimes with swampy shores, and often causes spirals. In the middle stream, below the town of Stepanavan, the river, accepting the large Tashir tributary, enters deep gorges up to 100-120 m deep. The valley narrows, turning into a gorge, then a narrow and deep canyon. The catchment area of Dzoraget is 1460 km2
Dzoraget River
The largest tributary is the Tashir River, which originates from the slopes of the Armenian mountain range in Georgia, flows through the Lori plateau, flowing into Dzoraget, 28 km from the estuary. After receiving the Gargar tributary in the upper stream, the valley widens, the Dzoraget joins the Pambak river, the Debed river originates.
