Yerevan - Bayazet

Climbing Mount Sis (Little Ararat) is our main goal in this trip. However, being in Western Armenia, we cannot not see the historical cities. We will start the trip from Yerevan. After crossing the Armenian-Georgian, then Georgian-Turkish borders, we will head to Lake Tsovak Hyusiso (Childir). After resting, we will continue our journey to the Bayazet Fortress. Bayazet is one of the small cities in Western Armenia, but one that has played a memorable role in the history of our people. After getting acquainted with the history of the fortress, we will check into our hotel in Bayazet, because we need to prepare and rest for our ascent the next day.

Day 2

Climbing Mount Sis

Waking up early in the morning, we will head to SIS, Little Ararat. The height of Mount sis is 3896 meters. We will start the ascent from about 2500 meters, climbing to about 1400 relative heights. The duration of the trip is about 2.5-3 hours. After completing the climb, we will return to the hotel late in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Return to Armenia

Well, with the impressions of climbing Mount sis, we are heading to the city of Kars. Impressed by the fortress of Kars, we will descend to the monastery of the Holy Apostles, which, however, has now turned into a mosque, but has not lost its Armenian spirit, decorations and khachkars. After the tour of the historical city of Kars, we will return to Yerevan.

Participants must have, backpack (small), mountain climbing boots, warm mountain uniform, jacket, hats (both summer and winter), comfortable hiking gloves, jersey, sunscreen cream, headlamp, hiking poles, thermal underwear, trekking sunglasses, gaiters.

Only people with mountain hiking experience can participate in the hike.

The cost of the program is designed for 15 participants. If the number of participants changes, the price can also be changed.
