Climbing Mount Aconcagua, the mountain that is the highest mountain peak in the Andes, Argentina, North and South America, Western and Southern hemispheres and is one of the highest "7 Summits" on 7 - continents. Yerevan - Mendoza
After long flights, we arrive in Mendoza, the center of wine production in Argentina. We're staying at a hotel, having a rest. In the evening we will have a discussion about climbing with the accompanying staff.

Equipment Check - Getting Permission
Early in the morning, experts will check things and equipment. Please note that each person should have 2 large bags (80-100 liters) and 1 small hiking bag. We will also receive climbing permits during the day.

Mendoza (2644 meters) - Confluencia (3390 meters)
Well, today we will have a gentle climb to the first camp, Confluencia Camp. We will only need to take a light backpack, and the rest of the things will be transported by mules.

On the acclimatization day, when we will climb to about 660 meters of relative altitude, we will have a few hours of rest at the top, then we will descend to the first camp. At the top we will see the south face of Aconcagua.

Today we head towards the base camp of Mount Aconcagua, overcoming about 1000 meters of relative altitude. We pack our things, get comfortable, as we will spend 5 nights at this camp.

Acclimatization day at Aconcagua Base Camp
4350 meters, the base camp, is the best place to acclimatize the body to the altitude and prepare for the ascent.

We do not forget that we will climb a peak of almost 7000 meters, so it is mandatory to spend a few days acclimatizing. Today we will have an acclimatization climb to the Bonette peak, 5004 meters high. After the climb, we will descend to the base camp.

And today we will leave the base camp for the first camp, Plaza Canada. After overcoming the relative altitude of 700 meters, after several hours of adaptation of the body to the altitude, we will descend back to the base camp.

Day of acclimatization in the base camp
Today is our last day of rest before climbing Aconcagua. We finalize our gear, leave non-essential items at base camp, and rest. Everything is ahead.

From the base camp we climb to the first camp, which we are already partially familiar with. We settle in and sleep, because proper sleep is one of the most important conditions in this case.

Here we are, with small steps, approaching the summit of our dreams. We will move to the second camp at an altitude of 5400 meters. We will spend the night in the camp.

After overcoming about 570 relative altitude, we reach the third and last camp. Judging by the altitude, it is already clear that it will be quite cold and windy at the top. We sleep, gather strength, so at night we will climb to the top.

At around 01:00 we will start the climb. We will be at an altitude of around 6250 meters when we meet the dawn. With a relative elevation gain of around 990 meters, it will take us 10-12 hours of walking to reach the summit, enjoy the highest peak in Argentina, and descend to the camp. And a deep sleep is guaranteed after the ascent.

Reserve days
As with any 5000+ climb, this time too, we will have 2 reserve days to guarantee the climb. If we don't use them, after the climb we will have a rest in the city, a tour of cultural centers.

From Camp Three we head towards Base Camp, where a festive dinner awaits us.

After saying goodbye to base camp, we head to our hotel in Mendoza. After resting, we will celebrate the ascent at one of the local restaurants.
Return to homeland
The best memories of life are already secured. All we have to do is reach our homeland after a nearly 30-hour flight, share our impressions with friends, and relive the journey.
