Bagatsar Mount is located in the Syunik region of Armenia, in the central part of the Megri mountain range, 5 km to the north-west of the village of Shishkert, approximately 22 km to the north of the city of Megri. The height of the mountains is 3249 meters. It consists of metamorphic shales of the Lower Paleozoic. The slopes are steep, covered with alpine vegetation, the landscape is mountainous. The slopes of the mountain stretch from the northwest to the south-southeast, with a length of 4 - 5 km. It joins mount Lchkut from the west, Zikhnovar from the south and forms a watershed with them between the Voghji and Meghri rivers.
